Travel With a Conditional Green Card

A permanent resident card---more commonly known as a "green card"---is a document authorizing a person to live and work in the United States permanently. Those who qualify for permanent residency but have not yet satisfied the requirements of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) receive conditional green cards. A holder of a conditional green card can travel freely outside the United States for a period of up to one year provided he or she has a valid re-entry permit upon returning from abroad.

Travel After Retirement
You've worked hard all your life, raised a family and now the kids are on their own. It is time for you to retire and you need to figure out what you do now. You're too young to sit in a rocking chair, so you decide to travel. After all, you have no responsibilities to anyone but yourself. Here are some tips for traveling after retirement.

Travel to Alaska by Freighter
One of the most unique ways to travel to Alaska is by freighter, or cargo ship. Freight tickets are usually cheaper than cruise ship prices, and availability is limited to fewer fellow travelers, usually around 10 people. Traveling by freighter is a great way to see the sights of Alaska without the hurry and congestion of commercial cruises. Several companies offer freighter journeys to Alaska with highlights such as whale watching, as well as day-long stops for hikes and visiting hot springs.

Take a Road Trip Across the United States
While most of us are used to winging from coast to coast in a few hours, there's something romantic about a cross-country road trip. Be sure to stop and see the sights along the way, and take a charming byway - rather than the highway - once in a while so you can experience America's small towns and back roads.

Even if you are traveling across the city on a train, there are a number of ways your guitar can be damaged during the ride. You should travel with care, and there are also preparations you should make before boarding the train to ensure your guitar makes it to its destination in one piece.
